The game Quake Live is a free game service run by ID Software. No CD-Key is required to play and no software has to be purchased.

Once you have registered you have to play a game with "Crash" who is a robot player who tests your skill. When you have played "Crash" your skill is judged and you are then allowed to play on the many servers. You are only allowed to play with people who are about the same skill as you usually. As you get better and your skill grows you then play with more difficult opponents.....

There are also training areas that help you improve your skill. Please try it - it does not cost anything...........
